Quality of Life Initiative

The Quality of Life Initiative enables local authorities to assess how their investments and policy choices impact the well-being of individuals and communities and guides them toward achieving lasting improvements in urban living. It promotes a holistic, people-centered approach to quality of life that integrates objective indicators and subjective perceptions to make quality of life central to urban development.

The United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat), in partnership with ESCWA and support from Saudi Arabia Quality of Life Programme, leads this effort.
