Regional Profile of the Information Society in Western Asia 2007

ESCWA is publishing the Regional Profile of the Information Society in Western Asia - 2007 as a part of the follow-up to the World Summit on the Information Society. The study is the third in a series and includes a review of the current situation and an assessment of the progress made in building the information society in the region. It aims to monitor the profile of the information society in ESCWA countries and the progress each of them has made towards that society, and assess their current situation. Indicators show that ESCWA member countries must make greater progress in order to reach the level of the developed countries in building an information society.
