This study, published by ESCWA, aims to help Arab region countries, especially national statistical offices, make better use of administrative records and improve their statistical business registers. These efforts are crucial for producing reliable economic data that support informed policymaking, strengthen the business environment, and promote economic growth.
The study outlines United Nations recommendations for developing statistical business registers and introduces a maturity model to guide their improvement. It also includes the experience of Tunisia as a case study from the region.
