ESCWA is organizing a national needs-assessment workshop as a first step towards developing a technical support programme to enhance the fairness, transparency and efficiency of federal resource allocation in Iraq.
The workshop aims to strengthen capacities for evidence-based fiscal oversight and equitable revenue distribution by identifying systemic challenges, assessing data quality, fostering stakeholder engagement, and laying the groundwork for a transparent, data-driven revenue-sharing framework.
