The International Forum on Energy for Sustainable Development is an annual joint event held by the five United Nations Regional Commissions to address the critical role of energy transition in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and the Paris Agreement. The Forum also serves as a platform for shaping actionable strategies to accelerate progress toward global sustainable energy goals.
This year’s theme, “From Goals to Action: Powering the Future with Sustainable Energy,” brings together over 300 participants—government officials, policymakers, energy experts, business leaders, academics, and civil society representatives—to discuss practical steps for advancing sustainable energy solutions.
Key topics on the agenda include energy connectivity, energy security, digitalization, critical raw materials, just energy transition, and international energy cooperation.
