ESCWA is organizing a preparatory workshop to discuss the fourth periodic report of Oman on the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW), in cooperation with the Women's Affairs Department at the Ministry of Social Development in Oman.
The workshop aims to enhance knowledge and skills related to the discussion of the fourth periodic national report of Oman, which was submitted to the Committee on CEDAW in August 2022, and is expected to be discussed in February 2024. The training sessions on report preparation include both theoretical and practical components, contributing to the preparation of the Omani delegation for the "constructive dialogue" session, which involves discussing the report with members of the relevant committee.
Participants include representatives from relevant departments in the Ministry of Social Development, as well as representatives from related ministries and national institutions.
