Artificial Intelligence (AI) is increasingly playing a major role in delivering information and content within academia and society, presenting both opportunities and challenges for librarians. To stay at the forefront of this digital transformation, librarians are actively seeking to develop and enhance their skills in utilizing AI technologies by leveraging the significant advancements in AI tools, provide essential training, and ensure equitable access to AI technologies and digital resources for all. They are also committed to delivering accurate and reliable information in educational and societal contexts, particularly in response to the prevalence of inaccurate or misleading information generated by AI tools.
In this context, ESCWA, the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions -Management of Library Associations and the Lebanese Library Association are jointly organizing this event. Professionals, researchers, and practitioners are invited to submit abstracts that address the session subtopics (please refer to the attached document).
