To articulate the vision for recovery in Yemen, its goals and implementation strategies, ESCWA is organizing a socioeconomic dialogue on recovery in Yemen. The dialogue is aimed at prioritizing conflict-related challenges in different thematic areas, and defining a comprehensive goal and subgoals for each thematic area. The dialogue is also intended to identify recovery targets to measure the achievement of those goals.
In this context, ESCWA is launching the first round of the socioeconomic dialogue on recovery in Yemen. The objective of this round is to define the main challenges and goals for recovery in the different thematic areas of the vision. Discussions build on the outcomes of the ESCWA consultative meeting on a vision for recovery and development with key Yemeni experts from different backgrounds, held in July 2022.
