ESCWA, the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction, and the League of Arab States are organizing a regional workshop aimed at strengthening disaster data systems for evidence-based policymaking and anticipatory action. The workshop focuses on assessing national data ecosystems, adopting the DELTA-Resilience tool, integrating disaster risk statistics into development and public investment planning, and translating data into effective early warning systems and proactive crisis responses, particularly in fragile and conflict-affected contexts.
The workshop brings together representatives of national statistical offices and national disaster management authorities from 22 Arab countries.
