On the sidelines of the Arab Forum for Sustainable Development held at the UN House in Beirut, ESCWA announced the winners of the Digital Arabic Content Award (DAC) - launched in 2021 in partnership with the World Summit Awards (WSA) - to encourage Arab digital content creators who are contributing to sustainable development.
Winners in the institutions category included Agrogatemasr from Egypt, IoT Kids Platform from Iraq, Learn Arabic Alphabet from Algeria, Syrian Researchers from Syria, and Unified Arabic Braille Portal from Qatar. The winners in the young entrepreneurs category were Alqalam project from Egypt, Martha Edu from Jordan, and Therappy from Qatar.
The winning projects were selected from a total of 215 entries from 19 Arab countries. The evaluation process was conducted by a jury of experts, and was based on several criteria including content and innovation, technical aspects and strategic values.
