To advance social justice and ensure that no one is left behind, ESCWA organized on 11 and 12 November, a workshop in Tunisia to support national efforts aimed at developing more inclusive and equitable policies that reduce multidimensional inequalities.
The workshop brought together policymakers, officials, and national experts involved in the formulation and implementation of national plans, policies, and programmes. Participants explored the various social, economic and political dimensions of inequality and emphasized the importance of social justice in the Arab region.
Sessions focused on identifying the groups in Tunisia that are most vulnerable to inequality, reviewing methods to measure inequality, and discussing evidence-based policy solutions. The workshop also facilitated exchanges on global and regional experiences that could be adapted to the Tunisian context.
