On the sidelines of the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, ESCWA Executive Secretary Rola Dashti participated in a high-level meeting on “Driving Multidimensional Poverty Reduction to Secure Wellbeing for All” and stressed the need for countries to reaffirm their commitment to eradicate poverty in all its dimensions.
Dashti also participated in a ministerial meeting on improving development cooperation with middle-income countries to achieve a sustainable recovery and foster sustainable development.
Furthermore, Dashti met with several officials from ESCWA member states, who praised the continuous cooperation with ESCWA and the technical support it provides.
