The fourth edition of the “ESCWA Stories" has been released, addressing challenges in the Arab region and raising awareness on the SDGs by providing sustainable solutions. The characters are inspired from reality and focus on achieving social justice and equality, combating poverty, protecting the environment and contributing to the prosperity of their neighbourhood.
This edition features five illustrated stories dealing with displacement, achieving food security and cybersecurity, reducing pollution and providing adequate employment opportunities. It also tackles technological advances and artificial intelligence, guiding children to harness technology responsibly.
The book is a part of the “SDGs Stories” project, which is implemented in schools in cooperation with local partners. The project spans the present academic year to cover a greater number of schools in additional Arab countries such as Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, and Qatar.
