The "SDG Stories" Project, Phase IV 2024-2025

January 2025

The challenges facing the Arab region, including conflicts, food shortages, widespread poverty, low rates of education and the consequent problems such as displacement, brain drain, food insecurity and aggravated pollution, among others, have been the main topics of "The ESCWA Stories", Volume 4. This book conveys reality to our sons and daughters in a pleasant language to encourage them to participate in finding sustainable solutions, and to stimulate their role in building the desired future.

Volume 4 includes five illustrated stories dealing with displacement, achieving food security and cybersecurity, reducing pollution and providing adequate employment opportunities for all. The stories also tackle technological advances and artificial intelligence, guiding our sons and daughters to explore ways to benefit from the sweeping technological development without using technology to the detriment of themselves and others.

The project spans the 2024-2025 academic year and covers a greater number of schools in more Arab countries such as Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman and Qatar.
