Within the framework of technical assistance provided to member States for building capacities in the field of technology for development in general, and in the field of technology indicators in particular, ESCWA and the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) organized a national capacity-building workshop on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) indicators in Oman.
The workshop, held on 23 and 24 November, aimed to enhance knowledge of the main international indicators in the field of ICT and shed light on the main ICT indicators, data collection methodologies and index calculation.
Representatives from public institutions involved in data collection and in monitoring of ICT indicators were introduced to the ISPAR tool developed by ESCWA.
