To mainstream social justice principles in the planning and implementation of social policies in Iraq, ESCWA, in cooperation with the High-level National Committee for Social Justice, held on 16 and 17 July a workshop on institutionalizing the principles of social justice in the country.
Members of the Committee and of the executive team discussed a national vision for the institutionalization of social justice and the mechanism for converting it into a pilot program within a strategic plan that includes the main work axes and objectives.
The workshop included a presentation of experiences from other countries in implementing mechanisms for institutionalizing social justice.
