As part of its broader effort to modernize national statistical systems across the region, ESCWA led a national workshop from 15 to 18 September in Cairo for the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS), to advance innovative approaches to data collection and management.
The training introduced participants to the key components of the Automatic Price Collection Tool (APCT), and highlighted modern digital data sources, equipping them to adapt to rapidly evolving technological landscapes and expanding demands for data-driven policymaking.
The workshop concluded with a review of participants’ progress and technical outputs, confirming their readiness to deploy the APCT as part of the national strategy of Egypt to improve the timeliness, accuracy and efficiency of price statistics.
