ESCWA has launched an e-learning course on gender statistics through its Learn portal, aimed at strengthening the capacity of users and producers of statistics, and particularly of gender statistics, to monitor progress towards gender equality and women’s empowerment.
The course provides participants with practical knowledge and tools to deepen their understanding of gender issues, link them to relevant indicators, calculate, visualize and present gender indicators effectively, and support the development of better programmes and policies.
The course targets employees in national statistical offices, policymakers, non-governmental organization workers, and researchers in national and international agencies.
