To strengthen ties and exchange information on disability policy among countries in the Arab region, ESCWA held on 27 May the 10th meeting of the Intersessional Group of Experts on Disability, bringing together representatives of member States.
Participants discussed the outcomes of the 2025 Global Disability Summit, including Arab countries’ commitments and ways to support their implementation. They also presented and consulted on a position paper concerning the expected outcomes of the 2025 World Summit for Social Development.
In addition, they identified and agreed on priorities and proposed themes for the 11th session of the Group, to be held next October.
