Case study on policy reforms to promote renewable energy in Ukraine

January 2017

National energy policy serves as one of the key factors of economic development in Ukraine, representing both risks and potential for further improvements. In order to solve the various challenges faced by Ukraine’s energy sector, a wide range of robust energy, social and economic policies have to be designed and implemented.

The present case study aims to provide decisionmakers, project developers and other actors involved in the renewable energy sector with an analysis of the renewable energy policies and regulatory frameworks that were applied in Ukraine to support this strategy, and deduce the lessons learned from that experience.
