Progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals in the Arab region in 2025

The present report provides a comprehensive overview of progress towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the Arab region in 2024, against a backdrop of prolonged instability and emerging global challenges, using 2015 as a baseline. While notable improvements have been made in areas such as health and sanitation, significant challenges persist in eradicating poverty, reducing inequality and addressing climate change.
The 2022 High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development called for accelerated action on the SDGs. It is therefore more urgent than ever to drive development and gather the evidence needed to measure progress, stagnation and setbacks.
As Arab countries navigate complex socio-economic landscapes, the report serves as a vital resource for Governments, stakeholders, and development partners committed to achieving sustainable development and ensuring that no one is left behind.
