Mixed system
Definition:
It describes the largest and the most heterogeneous livestock system, in which cropping and livestock-rearing are linked activities. It is defined as a system in which grazing may be largely practised but more than 10 percent of the dry matter fed to animals comes from crop or crop by-products or stubble; and less than 90 percent of the dry matter of the animal feed is off-farm produced.
