Term:
Tropical shrimp trawling
Definition:
A relatively unselective fishing method because large volumes of bycatch are typically retained in the coded comprising several hundred species. In large industrial fisheries this bycatch is usually discarded overbard, but in small-scale fisheries it has commercial value and is used either for human or animal consumption.
