The workshop aims to strengthen the science–policy interface and advance climate adaptation efforts across the Arab region. It promotes the use of reliable regional climate projections, including RICCAR, alongside climate impact assessments and integrated vulnerability analyses that identify geographic hotspots and the sectors most exposed to climate risks.
It enhances participants’ understanding of climate change scenarios and regional climate modelling applications, while strengthening their capacity to access, interpret and apply climate data and assessment tools for national adaptation planning, priority-setting, programming and project preparation. The workshop also fosters knowledge exchange and collaboration among institutions and experts to support evidence-based climate policy, adaptation decision-making and climate-resilient development.
