ESCWA and the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs in Somalia are launching “Social Protection Landscape and Perspectives: Comprehensive National Review of the System and Reforms of Somalia”. Developed with technical support from ESCWA and in collaboration with Samuel Hall, the publication identifies gaps and opportunities across the social protection system in Somalia.
The launch aims to highlight key findings and policy options for expanding coverage, improving effectiveness and sustainability, and strengthening national ownership. Government representatives and development partners discuss priorities for a more integrated, inclusive and shock-responsive system aligned with the development objectives of the country.
