In response to the growing challenges facing older persons in the Sudan, and in line with the commitment of the Sudanese Government to build a society that protects and supports older persons and safeguards their rights and interests, the Ministry of Social Development leads the preparation of a national strategy for older persons for the years 2022-2030, through a participatory approach, and with technical support from ESCWA.
This workshop presents the draft national strategy for older persons in the Sudan, and discusses its priorities and objectives. The outcomes and the discussions of the workshop are used to revise the final version of the strategy.
