The event on Global Indicators for Strengthening National Policies to Advance the Status of Women in Kuwait is organized within the broader regional and national efforts to promote gender equality and improve Kuwait performance across key global indices. It targets representatives from relevant government entities, primarily the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (as the national authority for women’s rights), in addition to ministries of justice, health, education, labor, social affairs, and the Central Statistical Bureau.
The main objectives are to:
- Raise awareness on the global gender-related indices and their role in shaping national policies.
- Analyze Kuwait current performance and identify key gender gaps.
- Define national priorities for legal and policy reforms to advance gender equality.
- Lay the groundwork for a national roadmap to improve the ranking of Kuwait in global indicators and align with the Sustainable Development Goals and Kuwait Vision 2035.
