ESCWA is organizing this workshop in support of national efforts in Jordan to develop more inclusive and equitable policies to reduce multidimensional inequalities. It aims to enhance participants’ understanding of how to design inclusive, evidence-based development policies that respond to national needs and incorporate the principles of equality and social justice, with a particular focus on the inclusion and economic empowerment of youth.
The workshop brings together the members of the recently established National Task Force on Equality, which includes representatives from several ministries and national institutions. Participants also include policymakers, officials, and national experts involved in the formulation and implementation of national plans, policies, and programmes.
