The International Forum on Energy for Sustainable Development is an annual joint event held by the five United Nations Regional Commissions. It brings together stakeholders to address the critical role of the energy transition in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and the objectives of the Paris Agreement, and provides a platform for developing actionable strategies to accelerate progress towards global sustainable energy goals.
Launched in 2010 by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe, the Forum has since evolved into a global event on sustainable energy. Over time, all five United Nations Regional Commissions have joined as co-organizers, broadening the Forum’s reach and reinforcing its international scope.
