In Jordan, the Beijing+30 review coincided with a mid-term assessment of the National Strategy for Women, leading to efforts to create a new, forward-looking strategy. The national report noted progress in legal and political spheres but acknowledged ongoing structural and social challenges for women. The country’s priorities for 2025–2030 are:
- Equality before the law and access to justice
- Eliminating violence against women and girls
- Right to work and economic participation
- Gender-sensitive social protection
- Gender-responsive budgeting
To advance these goals, ESCWA, the Jordanian National Commission for Women, and KVINFO Center are organizing a national consultative meeting to coordinate actions and develop practical policies in line with national plans and the 2030 Agenda..
