Lebanon is launching its National Strategy for the Rights and Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities (2026–2030), led by the Ministry of Social Affairs in partnership with the United Nations Population Fund and ESCWA. Shaped through consultations with organizations of persons with disabilities, public institutions, and other stakeholders, the Strategy turns the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities into concrete policies, reforms, and programmes.
Held under the auspices of the Prime Minister, the event convenes government officials, organizations of persons with disabilities, diplomatic and UN representatives, development partners, and the media. The Prime Minister officially launches the Strategy and reaffirms the commitment of Lebanon to accessibility, equality, participation, and disability-inclusive development.
