The national capacity-building workshop on the model report on expenditure statistics in Tunisia is a two-day workshop aimed at enhancing the technical capacity of the National Institute of Statistics in compiling expenditure-side national accounts data. Participants engage in practical sessions on data sourcing, classification and validation, with a focus on improving methods during periods of crisis. They are introduced to various validation techniques and tools, including a hands-on demonstration of the Model Report on Expenditure Statistics (MORES) template and its associated classifications. The workshop concludes with discussions on challenges and lessons learned, preparing participants to apply improved techniques in the national accounts of Tunisia.
