This workshop builds on the joint work between ESCWA and the Department of Statistics in Jordan throughout the previous year. It intends to introduce the optimization model concept of the Multidimensional Poverty Index and how to integrate it into the Jordan data Centres website. Trainees use the ESCWA tool to develop optimization scenarios of poverty reduction and enhance the capacity of tailoring optimization models to Jordan’s context and geographical areas.
