ESCWA, in partnership with the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Executive Bureau and the Ministry of Community Empowerment in the United Arab Emirates, is organizing a session on the margins of the 2nd World Summit for Social Development. The event explores the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) and its impact on social development.
The session aims to identify ways to leverage AI to foster inclusive social progress, ensure the technology serves the public good while preventing any adverse impacts, especially for disadvantaged social groups, and share insights from the GCC's experience in AI policy and implementation.
Participants include high-level policymakers and experts, offering guidance on responsible AI adoption and advancing a collective pact on AI for social inclusion.
