On 16 February, ESCWA organized the fourth and final workshop under the United Nations Road Safety Fund (UNRSF) project on “Reducing Road Deaths and Injuries in Jordan through Increasing Restraint Use”, to engage key traffic safety stakeholders in discussing the project’s activities and achievements.
The workshop addressed the revised draft on seat belt and child restraint regulatory framework and its impact on the modified traffic law. It also reviewed the pre- and post-observational survey, their results and the related reports.
Participants and stakeholders will build on the achievements accomplished by this project to sustainably reduce road crash fatalities and serious injuries in Jordan.
