On 21 April, ESCWA organized a regional workshop for national statistical offices in Arab countries on the use of the online questionnaire for demographic and social statistics.
The workshop trained participants on completing the electronic questionnaire, which helps regularly update demographic and social data, and facilitates coordination between national focal points and ESCWA during the reporting process. It also provided practical guidance on accessing and using the data collection tool, with a view to improving data quality and availability at both national and regional levels.
The workshop is part of the ongoing efforts of ESCWA to support the development of demographic and social statistics in the region and strengthen related regional databases and platforms, including its own website and the Arab Development Portal.
