Multidimensional inequality: country snapshots

July 2025

ESCWA has developed a comprehensive framework for a multidimensional analysis of inequality across the Arab region and globally. This framework allows for a deeper understanding of the complex and multifaceted nature of disparities, extending beyond traditional income-based measures.

The factsheets apply this analytical framework to selected Arab countries. They provide a quick examination, identifying key drivers and the diverse manifestations of disparity. They offer crucial insights for policymakers to design targeted interventions for more inclusive development.
