This workshop is the first among a series of activities organized by ESCWA and the United Nations Population Fund Regional Office for Arab States in the context of the 5th regional review process of Madrid International Plan of Action on Ageing (MIPAA). It aims to agree with national focal points on the review methodology by presenting the review process and timeline and discussing the draft guiding template prepared by ESCWA on the preparation of national review reports of MIPAA. At a later stage, the partners will prepare a regional report that summarizes the country reports, outlines priorities and challenges, and highlights some of the promising practices in the Arab region.
