The Ministry of Social Affairs in Lebanon, in collaboration with ESCWA, is supporting the implementation of the Action Plan for the National Strategy for Older Persons 2020–2030.
As part of this effort, the Ministry and ESCWA are organizing a workshop aimed at strengthening the capacities of the Permanent National Commission for the Care of Older Persons, along with officials from relevant ministries and institutions. The workshop focuses on integrating ageing and older persons’ issues into development policies and programmes, as well as exploring approaches to enhance the Commission's role in implementing related initiatives and activities outlined in the Action Plan.
Participants include members of the National Commission on Older Persons, representatives from various ministries and relevant government bodies, and delegates from the Ministry of Social Affairs and ESCWA experts.
