ESCWA, in partnership with Moroccan institutions, including the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, the Ministry of Solidarity, Social Inclusion and Family, and the Ministry of Economy and Finance, is convening a peer exchange workshop on the various modalities of economic inclusion for poor and low-income population groups. Co-organized and co-financed by GIZ, the workshop focuses on supporting the transition of female social assistance beneficiaries into sustainable employment and access to social insurance.
The workshop aims to explore practical approaches to economic inclusion, drawing on regional reform experiences and the ongoing social protection transformation of Morocco. Discussions address key modalities such as automated identification of upskilling needs, AI-enabled job matching, and other innovative solutions. It also seeks to strengthen inter-agency collaboration to enhance women’s labour market participation and long-term resilience.
The workshop brings together policymakers and practitioners from Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, Tunisia and other countries, alongside partner organizations.
