2017 World Water Day Celebration on "Wastewater"

ESCWA is organizing a regional event to celebrate the World Water Day in collaboration with the Ministry of Water and Irrigation of Jordan, the Government of Sweden, the Arab Countries Water Utilities Association (ACWUA) and UNESCO.
 
The programme will begin at 7:00 pm on 22 March 2017 at the Kempenski Hotel in Amman and be followed by a reception. The event is being held within the framework of Arab Water Week.
 
The theme of World Water Day 2017 focuses on wastewater. The celebration will begin with opening statements by H.E Mr. Hazim El Naser, Minister of Water and Irrigation, Ambassador Erik Ullenhag, Swedish Ambassador to Jordan, and Eng. Khaldon Khashman, Secretary-General of ACWUA.
Presentations will include the regional launch of the 2017 World Water Development Report entitled Wastewater: the untapped resource, as well as regional and national presentations on Arab perspective related to wastewater treatment and reuse.
