Building on the joint work between the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the National Institute of Statistics and Demography (INSTAD), ESCWA and the United Nations Development Programme, a workshop is being organized to strengthen technical capacities for constructing the national Multidimensional Poverty Index (MPI) using both survey and census data. The outcomes of this work will support the targeting of social assistance and inform the formulation of poverty reduction policies.
