As part of the Resilient Water Solutions Against Climate Change project, UN-Habitat is organizing a capacity-building workshop with ESCWA and UNICEF on permaculture principles and practices. The workshop addresses water scarcity and climate vulnerability by introducing practical, nature-based approaches that promote climate resilience and regenerative systems in water-scarce environments.
The event brings together farmers, public officials, experts and other stakeholders to explore practical applications of permaculture for strengthening community resilience. Through interactive training and hands-on learning, participants are gaining knowledge of approaches that can contribute to more sustainable management of water and natural resources, while identifying practices that can be adapted and applied in communities facing increasing water scarcity and climate-related pressures.
