On the sidelines of the 2nd United Nations Food Systems Summit Stocktaking Moment (UNFSS+4), ESCWA, the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development, and the Arab Center for the Studies of Arid Zones and Dry Lands are convening a meeting that brings together Arab regional and international stakeholders to discuss practical strategies for advancing food systems transformation in the region.
The meeting focuses on two key priorities for the Arab region: financing climate-resilient food systems amid limited natural resources and increasing climate shocks, and food systems action in post-conflict and fragile settings. Based on the proceedings of the Action Day and the 1st day of the Summit, the meeting aims to foster dialogue, strengthen regional cooperation, and explore opportunities to mobilize innovative solutions tailored to the Arab context. It is also expected to inform future policy discussions during and beyond UNFSS+4, contributing to the broader goals of sustainable and inclusive development in the Arab region.
