The first national capacity-building workshop on designing inclusive policies to reduce multidimensional inequality in Mauritania is being organized to enhance coordination and advance the country’s efforts towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and ensuring no one is left behind.
The event aims to strengthen understanding of multidimensional equality by exploring its social, economic and political dimensions, review best practices in measuring inequality, and discuss approaches to inclusive, evidence-based policymaking. Participants also examine priorities for policy interventions that address inequality in the Mauritanian context.
The workshop brings together policymakers, officials and national experts who are members of the National Working Group on Equality, from several ministries and national institutions.
