This technical workshop is organized within the scope of ESCWA Technical Cooperation activities to “Facilitate Arab regional and global integration through evidence-based policy making toolkits”.
It seeks to introduce the national version of the Global Economywide Trade Policy Simulator Interface (GETSI) for Tunisia to participants from the Ministry of Commerce and Export Development. The aim is to equip them with the skills to evaluate alternative trade scenarios, assess global trade shocks, and analyze the macroeconomic and sectoral effects of trade reforms and external shocks on the national economy. Expected learning outcomes include proficiency in constructing scenarios, executing simulations, interpreting results, and enabling informed decision-making in trade policy formulation.
