ESCWA is organizing an online policy dialogue as a side event to the 2022 High Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development. The theme is “Poverty, Inequality and Integrated Social Policies in the Arab Region: Key policy directions for ensuring the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development”.
The event engages policymakers, academics and government experts in focused discussions on key policy directives for building back better and ensuring the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in the Arab region. It discusses the approaches and mechanisms needed for coherent and inclusive recovery and identifies practical, integrated and forward-looking policy solutions that reinvigorate commitment to promoting equality, reducing poverty and delivering on the Sustainable Development Goals post-COVID-19. The messages and recommendations resulting from this policy discussion will feed into formulating practical policy solutions.
