ESCWA, in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Affairs, Children and Family of Mauritania, is organizing a national workshop. The training covers the use of the Social Justice Policy Gap Assessment Tool to measure the alignment of public policies with the principles of social justice, with a focus on the social component of the national strategy for the recovery from COVID-19.
This is followed by consultative meetings to discuss the development of a national programme for social justice, focusing on national priority areas.
The workshop targets ministry officials at central and local levels who are involved in developing, implementing and monitoring social policies.
