The Statistical Leadership Training Programme targets DOS senior leaders and middle managers who can lead the modernization of national statistical offices.
Along a new cooperation project between UNESCWA, the UK Office for National Statistics (ONS) and UNECA on deploying a statistical leadership programme for the Arab Countries, a training is organized for the senior and middle management the Department of Statistics in Jordan (DOS).
The training programme aims to meet the growing demand for timely, comprehensive and trusted data, the Arab Statistical System needs transformative leaders who can lead the modernization of national statistical offices, develop and communicate clear strategies, lead and inspire change, delegate work appropriately, build relationships and motivate and inspire their teams. This comes along with the recommendations of the ESCWA Statistical Committee on modernizing national statistical systems in the member states.
