As part of the project to develop tools to assess trade policies and global economic shocks in member States, and in cooperation with the Omani Ministry of Economy, ESCWA is organizing a training workshop on the use of the simulation platforms for the Omani economy that were developed for the ministry. The workshop is part of the project on "Facilitating Arab Regional and Global Integration through the Development of Evidence-Based Policymaking Tools".
This workshop is tailored for participants from the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Trade in Oman, with the aim of enhancing their ability to effectively use platforms for pre-assessment of trade policies nationally, regionally, and globally.
In addition to introducing the features and components of simulation platforms, the workshop aims to train participants on how to design trade simulation scenarios based on the current state of global economic and trade relations and the potential developments that may occur.
